I’m Getting A STOP 0×00…error Blue Screen Of Death In My Windows XP Computer. How Can I Fix/repair Or Troubleshoot This Blue Screen?

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

I’m getting a STOP 0×00…error Blue Screen of Death in my Windows XP computer. How can I fix/repair or troubleshoot this blue screen?

Well in this technology advanced world – graphics and visual effects are manipulated with the help of blue screen background, whether a weather channel forecast news or graphics rich science fiction movie.

But you might be thinking why the hell your computer/laptop screen has frozen with the blue screen displaying STOP followed by a series of zeroes and upper cased ERROR message. What’s wrong with your PC? It has been working well before and started a down turn in performance lately and you’ve just got this blue screen!!!!

Blue screen IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

This error message is issued if paged memory (or invalid memory) is accessed when the IRQL is too high. The error that generates this bug check usually occurs after the installation of a faulty device driver, system service, or BIOS.

To resolve an error: Restart your computer, press F8 at the character-mode menu that displays the operating system choices. At the resulting Windows Advanced Options menu, choose the Last Known Good Configuration option.

If this doesn’t fix up your blue screen, then I would suggest using Reimage. With Reimage you can fix all the blue screens, without a need to reformat/re-install. Reimage is an online PC repair solution that would repair your system within 30 minutes. It is an all in one combination of antivirus, antispyware, registry cleaner and full PC repair.

Reimage reinstalls the operating system without touching user data or applications.
Reimage is the only product in the world that can correct the damage a virus has caused (as opposed to anti virus software that simply remove viruses but don’t correct that damage)
Reimage is the only technology in the world that can fix your PC even after it is already damaged.

Below are the list of descriptions to blue screen error messages. Reimage>

Blue screen: UNKNOWN_HARD_ERROR

Stop 0xc0000218 error message

Meaning that a necessary registry hive file could not be loaded. This error message can occur if the file is corrupt or missing. Reimage will fetch a replacement from its web storage and fix it.

Blue screen: SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION

Blue screen: BAD_POOL_CALLER

An invalid pool request has been made by the current thread.

Blue screen: INVALID_KERNEL_HANDLE

A device driver likely has a bug.

Blue screen: CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED

Bug Check 0x5A: CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED

A critical service failed to initialize while starting the LastKnownGood control set.

Blue screen: CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION

This indicates that a process or thread Crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.May happen due to some corrupted system files.

Blue screen: DISORDERLY_SHUTDOWN

An application or device driver likely has a bug.

Blue screen: BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO

This error can occur if some critical registry keys and values are not present. Also error can occur if RAM is damaged .

Blue screen: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Often this is caused by a bad device driver that is using an improper address. Other possibilities are faulty or mistmatched ram or a corrupted pagefile.

Blue screen: VIDEO_DRIVER_INIT_FAILURE

The system was not able to go into graphics mode because no display drivers were able to start. This usually occurs when no video miniport drivers are able to load successfully.

Blue screen: CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED

A critical service failed to initialize while starting the LastKnownGood control set. Probably a corrupted registry file.

Blue screen: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION

Blue screen: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

STOP 0x0000001e KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED in win32k.sys

STOP 0xC000021A Fatal System Error The Windows Logon Process terminated unexpectedly.

This behavior can occur if you downloaded the Backdoor.NTHack virus from a remote host into your computer. This virus is initiated by the Dl.bat file in the InetPubScripts folder.

Blue screen: THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER

STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER

STOP: 0x100000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER_M

This happens when the graphics adapter is caught in an infinite loop while it waits for the video hardware to become idle.

Blue screen: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

This error often results from a boot device failure. During I/O system initialization, the boot device driver might have failed to initialize the boot device (typically a hard disk). File system initialization might have failed because it did not recognize the data on the boot device. Also, repartitioning the system partition or installing a new SCSI adapter or disk controller might induce this error. This error can also result from incompatible disk hardware.

Blue screen: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

This stop message indicates that the requested page of kernel data from the paging file could not be read into memory. This Stop message is usually caused by a bad block (sector) in a paging file, a virus, a disk controller error, or failing RAM. In rare cases, it is caused when nonpaged pool resources run out. It is also caused by defective hardware.

Blue screen: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

occurs when requested data is not found in memory. The system generates a fault, which normally indicates that the system looks for data in the paging file. In this circumstance, however, the missing data is identified as being located within an area of memory that cannot be paged out to disk. The system faults, but cannot find, the data and is unable to recover.

Blue screen: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

The file system is damaged and cannot be mounted.

Blue screen: SESSION_HAS_VALID_POOL_ON_EXIT

This error is caused by a session driver not freeing its pool allocations prior to a session unload. This indicates a bug in win32k.sys, atmfd.dll, rdpdd.dll, or a video driver.

STOP error 0×27 RDR_FILE_SYSTEM

One possible cause of this bug check is depletion of nonpaged pool memory. If the nonpaged pool memory is completely depleted, this error can stop the system. However, during the indexing process, if the amount of available nonpaged pool memory is very low, another kernel-mode driver requiring nonpaged pool memory can also trigger this error.

Blue screen: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver attempted to access a memory address to which it did not have permission to access. The most common cause of this error is an incorrect or corrupted pointer that references an incorrect location in memory.

Blue screen: DATA_BUS_ERROR

STOP 0x0000002E

This stop message indicates that a parity error has been detected in system memory. This error is almost always caused by a hardware problem, so may not be fixed using Reimage repair – but may be caused by a faulty device driver attempting to access an address or a virus infected the Master Boot Record (MBR) – Reimage can solve that!

Blue screen: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM

A problem occurred within NTFS.SYS, the driver file that allows the system to read and write to NTFS file system drives. There may be a physical problem with the disk, or an Interrupt Request Packet (IRP) may be corrupted. Other common causes include heavy hard drive fragmentation, heavy file I/O, problems with some types of drive-mirroring software, or some antivirus software.

Tips To Stop Error Codes

Friday, December 24th, 2010

You’ve had your computer for years and it’s starting to show. You find yourself cursing at your computer more and more for being unbelievably slow and now you’re starting to experience crashes and dreaded stop error codes. You wonder how long you can hold out for a new computer and finally smash your old one to smithereens. Sure this isn’t a bad idea but buying a new computer can be expensive. And in any case, a new PC won’t run like brand new for a long time.

This isn’t because they age and physically slow down over time. Usually it’s because they get used and abused by their owners! Serial down-loaders like to download and install programs like it’s Christmas, even if they will never ever use them. Lack of hard disk space because of excessive programs will slow your PC down. However, you shouldn’t just go in there and start deleting things without thought.

Bad uninstalls mean more problems for your PC to deal with such as invalid entries in your registry and useless or corrupt files. Invalid registry entries can cause countless issues including the highly irritating unmountable boot volume blue screen! Resintalling Windows is a possible solution for slow computers, but it’s a bit of bother. First you would have to backup any files you want to keep and after the reinstallation you would need to update and reinstall your programs.

There’s a simpler way to keep your computer running smoothly and speedily and that’s by continuous maintenance. Perhaps not the answer you’re looking for since it requires a bit of work, but it doesn’t take long. It’s also a far better choice than experiencing computer crashes and blue screen error codes. The following are some maintenance tips you can start today:

The first tip might be obvious but stop adding programs to your PC that aren’t going to be used. With so many free applications on the Net, you might get addicted to adding new ones to your computer, but don’t. Go to your programs and note all the ones that you have used in the past 2 months. You’ll probably come across programs that you didn’t even know that were on your PC.

Go through any programs that you don’t need and uninstall them. Do this properly by using the Remove Programs utility in Control Panel. Delete any old files and folders that you don’t need anymore. Big files like videos and photos take a lot of memory but can easily be saved to a memory card. Making more memory available will make your computer run faster.

Delete temporary data that is saved during surfing and make a habit of defragging your PC to make applications run more efficiently. Check that you don’t have lots of unnecessary applications running on startup. If you see lots of application icons on the bottom right toolbar that you don’t use, disable the auto-start function on each one. Be sure to leave essential things running such as antivirus programs. If you feel comfortable in doing so, you can also use the msconfig command and disable any startup programs. Shutting down and starting-up times should be a lot quicker by making these changes.

Lastly, daily scanning of your PC with an antivirus program should be carried out. Millions of PC’s around the world are infected with viruses without their users even knowing. Bots, Trojans, viruses and malware can render your PC useless and even steal personal data. Once you get into the habit of maintaining your computer you will wonder why you didn’t start doing it sooner.
